Unimpressed by stale and detached writing? I am your guy.

My presence on social media, experience covering sports and news, expertise in all athletics, and insane interest in every subtlety of sports make me ideal for any position.

I am looking for the next challenge.

My goal is to break the norm and follow my ambitions. I am a social media dynamo, filming my interviews and linking them to my Twitter (@ALaboutSports). I consistently utilize mobile apps like Vine and Instagram to showcase the subjects of my interviews and game day experience to my more than 11,000 Twitter followers. Being connected to sources and your readers is the future of journalism. I have worked in copy editing at each stop along the way, as well as with programs such as InDesign and PhotoShop.

I have written more than 2,000 articles for publications including: Newsday, Yahoo Sports, Miami Herald, United Press International, Charlotte Observer, FOX Sports Ohio, Cincinnati Enquirer, Dayton Daily News, and Scripps Treasure Coast News. I have interviewed World Series and Super Bowl champions, All-Stars and Pro-Bowler’s, No. 1 NBA draft picks and hall of famers. But from the youngest of athletes to cardboard heroes, my passion for storytelling has not wavered.

Since moving to Florida in 2011, I’ve worked for Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers (Vero Beach) for two years as a contract sports and news writer and now write for the Miami Herald, covering sports and news. As sports editor for United Press International, I write and edit international sports news, while search engine optimizing UPI.com’s sports page on a daily basis. My articles have also appeared on: Fox News, Scout.com, the Sacramento Bee, Modesto Bee, Fresno Bee, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Charlotte Observer, St. Cloud Times, Wichita Eagle, Rock Hill Herald, Bradenton Herald, The Telegraph and Macon.com, Merced Sun-Star, Columbus Ledger-Enquirer, Cary News, the Lexington Herald-Leader, and more.

At the Miami Herald, I have worked tirelessly covering FIU athletics, high school, and professional sports throughout Miami-Dade County and Broward County. While scratching that itch for my lifelong goals, I simultaneously cover Cutler Bay and South Miami news beats with ease.

I will continue to bring a strong work ethic and a voracious passion for reporting to every assignment.

Not sure what you were going for with the “Villanova classless after national title win against North Carolina” Head liner. Unless you meant to hook readers to get them to read your story. As it implies, I thought I would read about some knucklehead doing something to a NC fan. Already knew classes were cancelled because I live near Philly. Nice Hook!
